I have a Service Berry Tree that is having a very rough time. It went in last summer (in Ottawa) and the leave's went orange was told due to rain, it is doing the same thing this year. It looks aweful, is there anything I can do to help it along. Would hate to lose it. Any thoughts. Thanks, Lynn

Hi Lynn. I have many Serviceberrys and it is quite normal for the leaves to go orange, however not usually until July/Aug/Sept depending upon the summer weather of that particular year. Did the tree bloom this year? Is the growth full or sparse? Have suckers appeared at all and if so have you allowed them to remain or did you remove them? Is the tree mulched and if so, with what? Did you feed the tree at all this year? What amount of watering did it receive this year? Where do you have it planted (exposure)? Do you have a picture?
