My ivy and oriental jasmin ground cover is being taken over by a creeping vine The vines new growth has small double or triple leaves and matures to five leaves per stem. The stems stand over the ivy approximately 1/2 to 1 inch high. It grows rapidly and I don't know how to get rid of it short of weed wacking frequently. I'd prefer a more permenent solution as the area is extremely large (the entire front and both sides of a double lot).

Well, I've since learned that the "pest" in my ivy is Virginia Creeper. Some think it is beautiful. How do I get it out of my ivy without killing my english ivy and oriental jasmin? Help!
