I have four blueberry bushes that are now about 4 years old and I would like to move them to my new home in the Comox Valley. The problem is: the move will likely take place some time this summer--moving date has not been set yet. Would I be wise to transfer the blueberries to large containers now before they are in full growth rather than dig them up mid summer?

In a word - yes.

I'm with Valerie on that one! You will reduce the shock to the darlings... next season if you find that it is lacking in performance, cut it back by 1/3... that should rejuvenate it... :) Good luck and best wishes in your new home!
