Hi all,

Last summer I saw the most beautiful tall grasses growing in a wonderful garden in King. I didn't think to ask then but any idea of what the ideal growing conditions might be for tall grasses. I'm 5'10" and these grasses were almost as tall as I! This property is right on the Humber River so the homeowners had access to plenty of water as was evident in the lush lawn and flowers.

Is this non rivered home owner destined to be grassless? Or is there a drought tolerant tall grass in my future. :)

Thanks Mary

I did find this which may work out well. Where I want to put it is a catch all area for water run off but that only happens if it rains. We hardly got any last year during the growing season so this Karl Foerster which will grow in wet or dry conditions might be the ticket. Any thoughts on this plant from those that have used it?
