This is the first year I have grown potatoes & I'm wondering what is the best way to store them -burlap sacks, loose in a box .....? Any suggestions appreciated.

Hopefully, you have grown varieties that store well. Here is our method - have done this for years! Use cardboard boxes, such as the type you get at the liquor store. Store one layer potatoes, one layer newspapers. Fill each box - note the variety on top. Now place the box on the cement floor of the basement - we have not lost any, ever! By February, some of them have sprouts, but all you need to do is remove the sprouts. Start by eating the smallest, save the biggest for last. Remember - be sure to grow those noted as "good keepers" and good luck!
