About five years ago on a visit to Newfoundland, Canada, I was given a Canadian Gardening Magazine with the following three articles amongst it's pages. A garden at Trinity Bay, Newfoundland. A garden in Bowmanville, Ontario, Canada, and the third was an article on Bisley Gardens, Gloucestershire. England, which, if I remember rightly, was towards the front of the magazine. The magazine was printed sometime in the early 1990's I think. Unfortunately, I have mislaid it. I e.mailed the Canadian Gardening Magazine but they could not locate this copy, so I think it must have been under another name. Has any one come across these articles, and could they tell me the correct name of the magazine, so that I can try and purchase a back copy. I live in Scotland, and I am not likely to be in Canada for awhile. Thanks, Jane Joy.

Hello Marg, I have already contacted the Canadian Gardening magazine but they could not find the back copy I am looking for. They asked for more details, but I cannot think of anything to add! Are there any other gardening magazines I could contact? Thanks for your help, Jane.

The Canadian gardening magazines I get are Gardens West from B.C., Canadian Gardening and Plant and Garden out of Ajax, Ontario. Gardens West can be reached at Box 2680 Vancouver, B.C., V6B 3W8. Their web site is www.gardenswest.com. Overseas subscription is $35. It's one of my favorites. Plant and Garden can be reached at P.O. Box 2000, Ajax, Ontario LiS 7J2

Stop the presses Jane Joy...I think I've found your magazine.

It is Canadian Gardening...Feb/Mar '95 Its their 5th anniversary....front cover shows a porch with a white wicker chair/white cottage screen door. Cover says "English Inspirations" and "Get Packing-10 great garden trips" and "the truth about Loosestrife"....I can't see mention of Bisley must be a small reference somewhere but there is an article on Trinity Bay and a Garden of the Month is in Bowmanville.

If you can't get a copy - and want an article or something from it - I can photocopy and send it to you.

My library of C'dn Gardening books goes back pretty much to 1994 since I started subscribing. Glad to help.
