CommentsA perfect opportunity to share your love of gardening with friends and family - The Winnipeg Gardening Saturday Show, March 18, 2017. Spring is just around the corner and for gardeners that means the beginning of a new season of planning, planting, lending, sharing, harvesting and preserving. Organized by Gardens Manitoba to raise funds for horticultural projects and education, the 10th Annual Winnipeg Gardening Saturday Show, “Gardening for Everyone”, will be held on March 18 from 9am-4pm at the Victoria Inn Hotel and Convention Centre, 1808 Wellington Avenue. At Gardens Manitoba we are passionate about making the benefits of gardening available to all. Whether you want to improve your established garden, start growing for the first time, have a disability, limited gardening space or are just interested and want to learn more, the 16 gardening workshops presented by local experts will provide you with useful, simple, affordable advice. Over 60 gardening vendors, 10 garden clubs and 10 not for profit organizations will be on hand to showcase their products and share their knowledge. Entrance fee for the tradeshow only has been reduced to just $5! Sit down for lunch and learn from our Keynote Speaker, Ken Brown (horticultural consultant, writer (“Dallying in the Dirt” and “Gardening – Enjoyed”), and photographer), as he guides us through the process of growing vegetables vertically in small spaces. Package deals are available through Gardens Manitoba website. Book by March 14th to ensure you have a place confirmed for our Keynote Speaker and Lunch (no tickets for the lunch will be available on the day of the event) and to take advantage of reduced pricing for the workshops.
