Laurie Lacey

Laurie Lacey is a writer/lecturer and specialist in the traditional plant/tree medicines of the Native peoples of North America; in particular, the Mi'kmaq of the Atlantic provinces of Canada. He has thirty-two years' of experience in this field, and is the author of Micmac Medicines: Remedies and Recollections. This is a book on Mi'kmaq medicines, which outlines the uses of approximately 70 species of plants and trees. Laurie has a fascinating slide/lecture presentation which has pleased audiences throughout Atlantic Canada. He also gives workshops in ecopsychology/nature therapy, and in plant spirit medicine. His book, Medicine Walk: Reconnecting to Mother Earth, is basically a self-help, ecopsychology, or nature therapy publication.

Laurie is also available for lectures based on his book, Black Spirit: The Way of the Crow.
